This show is getting too serious with itself. It's getting too sappy.
Season 1 Vince was the MAN. He had a Tyler Durdan-like appeal because he had looks, style, swagger, seasons dvd set marched to the beat of his own drum, and never allowed anyone to stress him. Every guy wanted to be him.

Season 5 Vince is some chump that is down on his luck, subservient and basically on E's junk, dvd collections and needs ppl to handle things for him bc he is a retard actor as opposed to a guy that would just rather not be bothered with all the drama.
E takes himself way too seriously. Acts way too goody goody, never sits in the middle of the backseat with drama or turtle, acts like vince needs him more than he needs vince, is the leader? C'mon, Vince runs the show. (E: "I thought I was the one making the decisions for you. Vince: "Not ultimately".) Turtle is too rough on Drama and needs to be the shameless sidekick who is a proud hedonist.
I speak for my buddies and I when I say this. Make this a guy's guy show again. Lose the drama and E's ego. 24 hours dvd box set Add more partying and adventure.

Your best friend's star is rising in Hollywood, and there's only one thing to do: join his entourage. Meet Eric, Turtle and Johnny Drama: three guys from Queens dedicated to helping their film-star buddy Vincent Chase navigate the absurdities of modern-day Hollywood - where sex, parties and super-agents rule the town.
Caught this show on TV a little while back and decided, following the positive reviews, 24 hours dvds to give it a go. I continued watching until almost the end of the first season but could just never get into it.

The show does have its humorous moments, most provided by the stars agent 'Ari', brilliantly played by Jeremy Piven of Ellen fame. Ultimately though, for me at least, Entourage lacks the out and out laughs of a good sit-com and does not have the storylines of a top drama, leaving the show in an akward middle ground somewhere between the two. Add this to the fact that many of the characters are very difficult to like or care about and I have quickly switched off.

You won't require your thinking cap for this series, it is a typical american easy watching drama series which the US is famous for, this series does have that bit extra though, in that the characters have real tangible flaws, are portrayed as not perfect, 24 hours complete dvd set instead selfish and single minded, however, they are like this because it what you have to do to survive in their world, underneath they are 4 (5 with Ari) really good friends embarking on a magical mystery tour with no knowledge where it will lead, the absolute star has to be Ari as the manic agent, who lives for his work, is a typical selfish and arrogant agent, but is absolutely hilarious and loveable at the same time, hard to pull off, but Jeremy Piven does it with ease, also some great guest appearances round off this series as an easy watching dream, needs a little more substance though as it goes on it will possibly eventually wear out.
